The purpose of Sunday School is to assist parents in their God-given responsibility to bring up their children “in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4) and “tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that He has done” (Psalm 78:4). The congregation’s assistance is never meant to take the place of a home that is active in God’s Word and engaged in the instruction of the children.
Although we are unable to meet in typical fashion for Sunday School at the present time, we have developed a plan to continue assisting parents in the blessed work of instructing their children in God’s Word. For the present time, our goal is to encourage, support, and help you to have an at-home Sunday School with your children.
We would love to be able to “do Sunday School the way we always do,” but until that becomes possible again, this is exciting alternative. It’s exciting because it stretches us. It is exciting because it nudges us into even more time with the Word together with our children. It’s exciting because the online resources for parents are openly available to others and that expands our outreach and ministry to others. If you see ways to improve/expand our efforts to support your “@Home Sunday School” please share your thoughts with us via email or calling at (509) 926-3317
